Our Story
A Local Favorite Since 1978
Gulfstream Restaurant was “born and raised” as a local, family tradition by Spiro and Joanne Simotas who nurtured it into a classic spot highly regarded for its food, affordability and friendly atmosphere. Now in its 42nd year, Gulfstream is still locally owned and operated by Kure Beach resident Ed Thomas, along with his business partner Rich Johnson and their team of managers and support staff.
The landmark restaurant continues to serve great food at affordable prices to locals and vacationers from all the communications of Pleasure Island: Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Ft Fisher.
Whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner – there are always familiar faces to greet and serve you and menu items that include your favorites as well as daily specials.
